To ensure your peace of mind, Husky offers the best warranty in the industry on your new central vacuum system. The conditions of this lifetime warranty are defined in this document. We invite you to read the terms below in order to take full advantage of your central vacuum system.
LIFETIME WARRANTY FOR VACUUM UNIT COMPONENTS All parts of your Husky vacuum unit are warranted against manufacturing and/or functional defects for the lifetime of the product. The lifetime of a Husky central vacuum unit is estimated at twenty-five (25) years from the original date of purchase at an authorized Husky dealer. For the first five (5) full years from the original date of purchase of the vacuum unit, labour costs will be the responsibility of Husky. At the end of the five (5) years, labour costs will be charged to the owner. See “Conditions and details of the warranty” for normal use conditions covered by this warranty. The lifetime warranty is valid for residential use only. The lifetime warranty does not apply for any commercial or industrial use.
TWELVE (12) MONTH WARRANTY ON COMMERCIAL USE If used for commercial applications, the vacuum unit has a twelve (12) month warranty against any manufacturing and/or functional defects from the original date of purchase at an authorized Husky dealer. See “Conditions and details of the warranty” for normal use conditions covered by this warranty. The twelve (12) month warranty on commercial use does not apply for any industrial use.
TWELVE (12) MONTH WARRANTY ON INDUSTRIAL USE FOR HUSKY PRO100 & PRO200 MODELS If used for industrial applications, the Husky PRO100 and PRO200 models as well as their accessories have a twelve (12) month warranty against any manufacturing and/ or functional defects from the original date of purchase at an authorized Husky dealer. See “Conditions and details of the warranty” for normal use conditions covered by this warranty. The twelve (12) month warranty on industrial use is valid for Husky PRO100 and PRO200 models only.
CONDITIONS AND DETAILS OF THE WARRANTY Husky will repair the unit throughout the duration of the warranty. In the event that Husky considers the unit cannot be repaired or that such repair would prove inappropriate, an equivalent vacuum unit will be offered as a replacement. To qualify for this warranty, the owner must without delay contact an authorized Husky dealer and notify about any functional problem with the vacuum unit. The original proof of purchase must accompany the product for repair under warranty. The on-line warranty registration can be a substitution to the original receipt.
To get maximum benefit from the central vacuum system and to keep the warranty valid, the owner of the system must adhere to the maintenance instructions as described in the user manual. In any event, the warranty offered by Husky excludes and will not be applied in the following cases: The use of electrical currents other than those indicated on the vacuum unit or any repairs done on the unit by an unauthorized by Husky or a non- qualified person. The warranty will equally be void if the central vacuum system is used to vacuum liquids, with the exception of the models Husky PRO100 and PRO200 which are designed for this purpose. Furthermore, the warranty will be void if the central vacuum system is used to vacuum any material prohibited as per the user manual. Husky will not be in any way responsible for any damage resulting from use that is not recommended in the user manual. The warranty does not cover damage resulting from abusive use, problems caused by a faulty installation or by any physical and/or functional alterations of the system. Abusive use may be considered if the installation is not done properly or if the guidelines outlined in the user manual or the installation instructions of the system are not followed. The warranty will be void if non-recommended products such as filters or any other after-sale parts as carbon brushes and motors are used to repair the unit. Husky recommends strongly to use only Husky certified filters and replacement parts. Any repair, maintenance and replacement of carbon brushes must be done by an authorized technician. Consumables, such as motor carbon brushes and filtration bags, are not covered by this warranty. Any costs related to normal maintenance including the changing of carbon brushes are the responsibility of the owner.
GENERAL WARRANTY CONDITIONS RELATING TO THE INSTALLATION Any deviation from the installation instructions from Husky will immediately void any warranty provided by Husky. The installation of the power unit must be done according to the best standards and respecting regulations and other building codes. There may be local codes or regulations concerning electrical installations. Husky will not be in any way responsible for any damage resulting from a faulty or improper installation under this warranty. The installer must follow all regulations and laws as well as the installation instructions from Husky in order to maintain this warranty from Husky valid for the unit installed.
WARRANTY ON OTHER HUSKY PRODUCTS To get more details on specific warranty for models equipped with an integrated automatic drain system such as PRO300, PRO400, PRO500 and PRO600, please refer to the documents accompanying those products or contact an authorized Husky dealer.
ADDITIONAL WARRANTY Husky is not responsible for any additional warranty sold or otherwise provided to the buyer by an authorized dealer or retailer.
